What does the MD Department do?

The MD-DE7 Touch Department is mainly responsible for designs related to touch panels. We must find ways to optimize the entire IC’s PPA (power, performance, area). The MD Department has a relatively small system, which allows for more exposure to various modules and backend processes, along with more opportunities for personal design input.

What is the atmosphere and work situation like in the department?

Everyone is very serious and has a strong sense of responsibility. They strictly adhere to project deadlines and are enthusiastic about assisting with project-related issues to avoid delays in submission. Depending on the workload, overtime may be required when a project needs to be taped out, but there are regular off-hours during project transition periods.

Job description

My department is primarily responsible for the NB product line of OLED DDICs. Currently, I serve as a systems application engineer, focusing on understanding customer requirements and developing system specifications in the early stages of IC development. I participate in the IC design process, create verification plans, and prepare external application circuits. As the IC returns, I engage in system optimization and verification work, continuing until the production stage to ensure that customers receive the most comprehensive product.
